Overview

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was founded durring the early 16th century in winter of the year 1507, by Ya̋ń̄ Sërm 'Brandi Coco' Ya̋nvó̄ Jōsh Cär vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt. The establishment of Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's construction back out of the project. Ya̋ń̄ Sërm 'Brandi Coco' Ya̋nvó̄ Jōsh Cär vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt pushed on reguardles, and Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems is buildings have been located at convienant points along the lake Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow flagstone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's bare minimum defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Likely due to this, Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to have homes. One cannot help but wonder what Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems was like during the glorydays.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems. Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. In spite of the Galvanic Grid, these lights continue to use their old fule sources to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is skipped in Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems.

The Trailgaunt near Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems are known to be quite timid.

Iyuzeld Ipáidi-īems's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves square dance to channel Summoning energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.
